About Taman Tasik Cempaka          

Terraqueous Euphony defined as a harmonious sound from the nature that will be brought to t the proposed enhancement of the site at Taman Tasik Cempaka, Bandar Baru Bangi. A placid lake and meandering forest paths that together, create a true sanctum of tranquility. Its remarkable allure is further enhanced by the existing ecological environment and outdoor lounges for resident and visitors. Many bird species and several small animals, fish and insect species have made the Tasik Cempaka as home and haven. With hundreds trees transplanted from the original project site and hundreds tree saplings planted at various spots, Taman Tasik Cempaka is where nature thrives, affording a true abode of serenity and harmony. Beyond the customary, embracing the extraordinary, the new Taman Tasik Cempaka will give the best tranquility for the people.

 

Site Issues and Problems

 

Phase 1: In this phase, physical aspect is become the major issue. Some problems such as uneven ground floor, cracked walkway, broken drainage cover and lamp post, etc. Environmental issue are also found in this phase. Smell from the lake and drainage surroundings can reduce the quality of environment that may affect the comfortability and healthy of users.

Phase 2: Issues found in this part are about its environment and physical issues. This caused by some problems like water pollution, noise pollution, unwell maintained and bad topography.

Phase 3: Physical issue becomes the major issue for this site. The old design and material used that isn’t well-maintained cause several physical problems.

 

Design Goal

Introducing a soundscape attribute and enhancing the existing landscape design with sustainable design approaches to create a healthier and more comfortable place.

 

Design Objectives:

1. To introduce or promote the soundscape attribute into the site that could improve the comfortability of the park.

2. To enhance the connectivity between spaces to improve the users’ flow within the park.

3. To enhance the water quality by using a sustainable and technology approaches that could improve the DO level of the lake.
